Learning How to Read

I feel as though it really only makes sense that to learn how to watch movies, you should have to learn how to read first. Mostly because there are so many more books than movies, but then there are movies about books that the general audience seems to critique to say they are not alike and do not follow the same character pattern and/or storyline. The thing with a visual and auditorial examination of a character versus a manufactured reality that we have built through the works that have been read for us, through us, and by us - is that we have innate sensibilities! Sometimes, you just may get turned off by how someone reacts to things, The Stranger - Albert Camus is a great example (or so I have been told, I am still learning)
