Why, oh Why, do we real estate?
The concept of property speculation and speculation in general has been around longer than I, you, or most anyone else can remember.
To have ownership and be a stakeholder in the central government, the state government, or at the municipal level is a great means of wealth accumulation, the parking of capital, and many other economic terms.
But to leave the Pseduo-Financier persona behind for a moment.. The more important aspect is LIBERATION. Most of the time we will use the word FREEDOM but the two are mutually independent, they do not need each other.
Freedom is the idea of rights granted within a system of authority, a rank if you will
Liberation is self-determination, Breaking free from the golden handcuffs, if you will.
While most conventionally, property ownership is seen as a system of freedom, I would argue that is more so what the powers that be want us to think, the property owner - ultimately, is aiming for liberation.
LET US HAVE LIBERTY, LET US HAVE WINE, LET US REST IN THE SUMMER, AND IN THE WINTER, GOD WILLING, THE SUN WILL STILL SHINE!
